Walnut Finish Cuckoo Clock with Birds and Leaves

40cm (16″)This bird carving in walnut is a classic among the original Black Forest Cuckoo Clocks.  The beautifully carved maple leaves and birds frame the clock face. Above the cuckoo door, the bird spreads his wings to take flight, and the two carved birds left and right of the clock face rest between the leaves. The solid wooden casing is stained in walnut. The cuckoo calls every half hour with the correct number on the hour and once on the half hour. The clock face, numbers and clock hands are all made of wood. This clock has a manual night switch off. The mechanical clockwork runs for a whole week.
