42cm (16.5″). This elegant 8 day timepiece features three hand painted cuckoos. The nest on the bottom of the case has hand painted eggs that resemble those of a Robin – a favourite laying place for cuckoos. The clock strikes and cuckoos on the hour so that you get a cuck, a strike and then an oo. The clock then plays ‘Eidelweiss’ or ‘Happy Wanderer’ and the four romantic couples on the platform in the balcony rotate. There is an option to turn the sound off between 9pm and 9am so that your beauty sleep is not disturbed.
