Chalet Style Cuckoo Clock with Beer Garden

30cm (11.8″) This delightful clock portrays a delightful scene in the Bavarian countryside, featuring a multi-level chalet with a unique facade, proudly displaying both the flag of Bavaria as the window shutters. in the front of the chalet and to the right are two men sitting at a table enjoying a beer and a pretzel, whilst a beer maid is carrying them some more beers from the Biergarten to the side of the chalet. Additional details in the front of the chalet include a table with steins, some stacked kegs against the chalet, a water wheel, a large tree and a fence with some flowers. This fascinating scene also includes a clock dial in the centre of the chalet, and a number of hand painted details including Bavarian style window shutters and flowers in the windowsills. The cuckoo calls every half hour with the correct number on the hour and once on the half hour. When the cuckoo calls the beer drinkers raise their steins to the number of the call. After the cuckoo call the music plays one of two tunes (Edelweiss and Happy Wanderer) the bar maid moves, the water wheel turns and the dancers twirl on the balcony This particular clock runs on a 1-day mechanism, and has a manual night shut off lever.
