Description
(13″ 34 cm) A quaint half-timbered chalet style house with Beer drinker is depicted on this original Cuckoo Clock from the Black Forest, with its traditional Black Forest hip roof. The wooden case is decorated with a filigree half-timbered design, a balcony and a rounded arch window with little blue heart shutters and flower boxes. The house is lovingly crafted with pine trees, a wooden bench, a water wheel enclosed in a brick wall, a water trough, and a Beer drinker. Beautifully delicate trimming adorns the bottom of the house to provide a perfect decoration. The solid-wood cuckoo calls on the full hour with the number of the hour and calls once on the half-hour. Every time the cuckoo calls, the Beer drinker raises his glass. After the cuckoo calls on the hour, one of the two alternating melodies play, while the water wheel moves to the music and the dancers dance on the balcony. This clock has an automatic night-switch-off. Clock face, numbers and Clock hands are made of wood.
