Hand Painted Cuckoo Clock with Moving Beer Drinker

32cm 12.5″ This original black forest Cuckoo Clock depicts a gentleman sitting outside a beer house enjoying a beer in the peace and quiet. The case is stained in walnut and decorated with colourful hand painting. The carved hip roof puts a beautiful finish to the clock. The solid-wood cuckoo calls every half hour and the correct number on the hour (e.g. 3 times at 3:00 o’clock etc) and once on the half-hour, during which the beer drinker raises his glass. After the cuckoo calls on the hour, one of the two alternating melodies plays, during which the water wheel and dance figurines turns. This model has a manual night-switch off. Clock face, numbers and clock hands are made of wood. The mechanical clockwork runs for a week
