Description
40cm (16″) This chalet style cuckoo clock has a carved pitched roof, Bell Tower and dormer window. The case is stained in walnut and mounted on a light-coloured carved wall. The house is framed with a doe, pig and pine trees. The cuckoo calls every half hour with the number of the hour every hour and once every half hour. After the cuckoo calls one of the two alternating melodies plays (Edelweiss or the happy wonderer). During the music, the water wheel and figurines on the balcony turns and the young boy slides over to steal a kiss from his girlfriend, who unashamedly turns her face to meet his. The clockface, numbers and clock hands are all made of wood. This clock has a manual night switch off. The mechanical clockwork runs for 1 day.
